FAQ

  • What happens if the weather is bad?

I will re-confirm the booked shoot days a few days prior to the shoot depending on the weather forecast. In the case of rain, I will offer an alternative date to re-book the shoot date without charge.

  • Is an in-home photoshoot for me?

I often hear the concern that homes might not be beautiful, tidy or "photogenic" enough for beautiful in-home photoshoots. I'd like to reassure you, that this has never been a problem so far. I will bring everything we need for a beautiful newborn shoot - from blankets, to curtains, to accessories and even a few baby clothes. I will also give you tips on what to wear - and if there is anything in the background that is disturbing the picture, I will take the freedom to re-arrange it. So nothing you need to worry about!

  • When is the best time for a pregnancy photoshoot?

I recommend taking pictures between week 30-35 in your pregnancy. This is the time where you (hopefully!) feel great, have a wonderful belly to show-off and there is still some time to go to the big day! Please reach out well in advance to book - if we shoot outdoor and the weather does not cooperate, we will re-schedule and find a new date!

  • When is the best time for a newborn photoshoot?

We will preliminary book a date based on your estimated due date - and move it around of course, with the ambition to take pictures in the first 5-10 days after delivery. These are the days when your baby ist still tiny and poses in the typical curled up positions naturally. You will be surprised how quickly this time passes and they look entirely different! I only offer a few shoot days every month to allow enough flexibility for each client, so please book as much in advance as you can to secure a spot!

  • I'm worried about viruses & infections for my newborn!

Especially for winter baby, viruses are often a concern for new parents. It goes without saying that we will never meet for a shoot if anyone is feeling sick. I will also disinfect my hands before and during the shoot and wear a mask if you would like me to - to make sure your baby is safe and you have nothing to worry about!

  • Help! My husband / kids don't like to be on pictures!

Oh well, who does? Grumpy children (and husbands) happen from time to time (life!). However, I can reassure you, in most cases, they warm up after the first couple of minutes. If you are worried that it takes some time to relax, I recommend booking a longer shoot, so we have enough time to walk, play and get to know each other. In the end, 99,9% of my clients are leaving my shoots happy and content :)

  • Are travel expenses included in your packages or covered additionally?

Travel within the Stockholm metropolitan area are included in the package prices. For photoshoots further away, please send me a request and I will return with a quote to you!

  • When do I have to pay?

I charge 50% of the package price when booking the shoot date and 50% on the date of the shoot. Upgrade options for additional pictures are offered after the delivery of the online gallery.

  • How long does it take to receive the photos after the shoot and how will those be delivered?

I know how desperately we all wait for the pictures after a shoot, so it's important to me to deliver in due time. You will receive an online gallery to select from within a week after the shoot date.

  • Do you offer prints & merchandise?

Yes, I offer high quality prints in photo or poster size, framed and in gift boxes as well as photo books. You will receive an overview of upgrades and available packages automatically after your shoot, just let me know in case you are interested beforehand!

  • Can you retouch my pictures?

The images are delivered fully edited. The package prices include editing such as exposure, colours and tones in the Nordic Tales signature style. For other editing (delete, add and more detailed retouching) there is an hourly charge. Please keep in mind that as a digital product, all sales are final with the download. RAW files are deleted after the download, so I’m not able to make any further edits later on.

  • What happens to the files?

For GDPR purposes, files are deleted after they have been delivered to you, so make sure you save a copy on your own computer! RAW files are deleted after you’ve downloaded the final results of our photoshoot, and the edited pictures you’ve received are deleted latest 6 months after the photoshoot.

  • What are the rights of use?

All images you receive may be used privately and can be shared freely online. When publishing on social media, please be kind and refer to Nordic Tales Photography accounts. If you do not want your pictures to be published under the Nordic Tales Photography accounts, please let me know before or after our session!

  • What are liability & risks?

While I am always looking for safe surroundings, the parents are responsible for children's safety. If damage to images or camera equipment should occur so no images can be delivered, I will rebook the photoshoot to another date, but there are no compensation rights.
